SEVIS

SEVIS is an internet-based system that allows American colleges and universities and the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service to exchange and share information on the visa status of international students. Accurate and current information is transmitted electronically throughout an F-1 student’s academic career in the United States. U.S. embassies and consulates and ports of entry also have access to SEVIS.

MAINTAINING VISA STATUS

In order to maintain F-1 Visa status, US Education Partner undergraduate students must be completing at least 12 hour credits per semester, and at least 9 graduate level credits for graduate students. In addition to it, US Education Partner students must keep their I-20 current and hold a valid passport.
